My name is Kimberley and I am the proud founder of Meraki Psychotherapy & Coaching.
I am originally from a small country in Southern Africa, where I spent most of my childhood on our family farm. I always enjoyed spending time in nature and with the animals. I moved to Scotland to complete my studies and to achieve my goals of supporting people through counselling, psychotherapy and career development.
I have always valued the importance of emotional and psychological support and aim to use my skills, knowledge and training to support people in their journey towards personal and professional growth and change.
Education & Experience:
I have achieved the following qualifications and training to date:
Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology - The University of Stirling
Diploma in Life Coaching - The Blackford Centre
COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills - West Lothian College
Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Guidance & Development - Edinburgh Napier University
Master of Science in Counselling & Psychotherapy - The University of Strathclyde
OCD Action Advanced Training - OCD Action E-Helpline Volunteer Training
Alongside my education and training I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of client groups within the third sector and the NHS. I have also had the opportunity to provide careers advice and guidance to adults and young people in various locations in Scotland and Southern Africa.
Part of my work also involves providing online support to individuals and families across the world affected by Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) as an E-Helpline Volunteer with OCD Action.
